Ultrasonic Thickness Measurement of classed ships is performed under the guides and rules of the classification society. A certification as NDT Level II in the Classification Societies have proper knowledge of stress/strenght calculations and the construction of ships in particular.
Svendborg Measurement Service is approved service supplier for several classification societies. Ultrasonic Thickness Measurement is carried out in accordance to DS/EN 14127 & ISO 9712, Supervisor Level II.
Ultrasonic Thickness Measurement gives a good indication of the construction condition. A very important information for owners, surveyors and repair yards to get a clear picture over the extend of the planned maintenance.
